Health Careers Summer Academy – no cost application/selection base

 


  •  Two week program offered on three of CuyahogaCommunity College’s campuses.
  • (East, Metro and Western)
  •  Designed for students entering grades 5 and 6 in the fall, with an interest in healthcare careers.
  •  Selected students will have an opportunity to learn about the brain, take field trips, and improve math, reading and science skills.

 

Applications and submission instructions are available online at www.healthy-careers.org .  Applicants must have a minimum of a C average to be considered; along with good behavior and attendance records.  Application deadline is April 27th ; however, participants are selected first come, first serve.

 

 

 

As of right now, Y.O.U. has a limited number of openings for summer jobs, mainly in the City of Cleveland.   We are working with others in the community to secure additional jobs.  Whatever number of jobs we have, youth must be registered online to be eligible for a summer job.  Remember students MUST HAVE: social security card, birth certificate and photo identification for verification (school or state ID).  Proof of family income may be requested for verification, as well.

Youth online registration will open at 12 noon on Monday, April 2nd and close promptly at 12 noon on Monday, April 30th.

Paralegal Students,

This summer, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) in partnership with NOCHE is launching the Louis Stokes Scholars Program to provide paid summer internships and mentoring at local law firms, local courts, and legal nonprofits.

 

Eligibility Requirements

-    The program is for graduates of either Cleveland Metropolitan School District schools or East Cleveland School District schools.

-    Students must either be

o   In their senior year of high school and headed to college this fall and must have a 3.5 GPA or

o   Presently enrolled in college (no GPA requirement).
